Photography Workshop 3

I finally got the chance to meet Jamel Shabazz and Che Kothari. Which was pretty amazing by the way As Jamel showed up, he bought NEW YORK with him. All i could think of was when will i be going back!! Che rolled up on his bicycle which was pretty cool too, having the both of them approachin us in different way .The minute we stepped into Remix Bryan Espiritu came by to show some love. Jamel let us in on his stories and his main purpose when it comes to doing his work. It was pretty deep he had most of us sitting there with watery eyes. After listening to his stories and getting to know him we headed down to Queen and University to take photos of the protest going on downtown. The minute we arrived there it was POURING! rain, luckily i had my umbrella and Brock was nice enough to hold it for me as i was taking some shots. I think taking shots of people in the protest was SOO easy, they wouldnt say no. They WANT to be heard and seen, so they didnt mind at all. After that it headed down to dundas and university i think. Thats when it started to get a bit hectic and cops were getting a bit too rough on the protesters. After staying there for a good while we decided to head down to the Weed march. It was done by the time we got there, but the characters we meet after were pretty hilarous. Check out the photos:
